If the signer does not have a secure email and the casefile contains sensitive information that you wouldn't like to end in the wrong hands, you can use Penneo's sensitive information feature.
Enabling this feature does two things:
- Making it so the document is not attached in the final email that is sent out to the signers
Normally, when every party has signed their documents, Penneo sends an email to each and everyone with 1) a link to the case in their own archive, and 2) the PDF document attached directly in the email. Enabling sensitve data for a case makes it so only the link will be included. The person thereby have to identify themselves after clicking the link, and will only be allowed to view the document if they are able to validate themselves in the same way they did when signing the document.
- Forcing validation control for every signer
This means that when the signer clicks his/her link in the received email, he or she will have to identify themselves before they get to even read the document. To only allow access for a specific person, you will have to couple this with adding the persons SSN. You can read more about how to do that here: https://support.penneo.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000003326-How-do-I-add-a-signers-SSN-number-for-validation
