Intro
In this article we will go over the basics when creating or updating a form template. We will be looking at finding the form setup menu, naming the template, setting the language and adding the PDF for the template. You can also find precise instructions on how to build your own webforms in the following video tutorial.
Finding the forms menu
For Penneo V1 click Forms in the top menu next to Recycle Bin.
In Penneo V2, click on Automate in the menu to the left, and then Form Templates. Here you should see an overview of your templates.
Creating or updating a template
To create a new template click on Create New Template in the top right corner.
To update a form click on the cogwheel next to the template you want to update and then click on Edit.
Naming the template, selecting language and adding the PDF
Naming the Template
The first thing you need to do is naming the template. We suggest that you name it something unique and related to what the form is about.
Selecting a language
The language you select determines the language of Penneo when filling in the webform, for example it translates the button “save and continue”. Please be aware that this is not a translation tool for the actual webform, it does not affect the language in the PDF that is used as a template for the webform. If you need a specific language in your PDF you will need to translate it yourself and upload the PDF with the corresponding language.
Select folder
When a webform has been successfully filled in and signed, it will appear as a case file in the folder you have selected in the webform settings. This case file will contain one document, which will be your filled in webform, and possibly attachments.
If you want to know more about storage of forms, have a look at the following guide: [FORMS] 7: Folder setup.
Adding a PDF
The Penneo forms are set up by using a PDF document as a template. Only PDF files are usable as templates. You simply add it by clicking Select a PDF File and selecting the document from your computer.
